Frequently Asked Questions(FAQ) Here you will find the questions most frequently asked by our users. Keep in mind this is not a help section. These questions are mostly high level questions. For help with ChartGo issues, please visit the Help section. Or send us a message via the Contact Us page.
Yes it is. You will not find a pricing page anywhere on this site.
No, you do not need our permission. The generated chart image belongs to the person that created them. That's why we do not put a ChartGo watermark on the generated images. We only provide the tool to create the image. You can use your image for commercial or personal purposes. Also, it is not necessary to reference us. If you want to mention our website, we appreciate it but it is not mandatory.
There are two important requirements & a recommendation
• Make sure you have JavaScript enabled in your browser.
• Make sure you're using a modern up to date browser. Internet Explorer 7 or older will not work.
• If you're using a mobile device, it is recommended you turn your device sideways.
Your graph is never removed if its active. But if your graph is inactive for over a year, we might remove it from the system. A graph becomes inactive when no one has visited your graph AND if you have not used the 'Save link' for over a year.
In the result page, below your generated chart image, click on "Download Image".
First follow the instructions on the error message. If that doesn't help, then follow the ChartGo guide. If you still have an error, take a look a the Help section. If you still get the error, send us a message via the contact us page.
The only way others can see your graph is if YOU send them a link to your graph or if YOU embed your graph on your site. So no, they don't see your chart unless you want them too.
We don't share, sell or give your data to anyone.
Yes but only if you use the "Save your graph" link to retrieve and modify your graph. Lets go through an example.
• Assume you create a chart and use the embed link to show the chart inside your blog.
• A week later you decide to make a change, so you come back to ChartGo and use your "Save" link to retrieve your chart.
• Now, any new changes you made to your chart will show up in your blog.
If you find that your changes aren't taking effect, try putting the "Save your graph" link directly
on the browser's address bar and hit the enter button. This removes your old graph.
A new one will be generated the next time a user visits your graph.
About five minutes. If you do nothing on the site for over five minutes, your session is reset and you will lose your content. You will then need to re-enter your data and settings.
No. ChartGo is a browser/internet based web application. If you see a download link somewhere, it is probably an ad.
• Save your graph is the link you would use to retrieve and modify your graph later on. Usually, you would not share this with others.
• Share your graph is the link you would share with others so they can view your graph. They cannot modify the graph only view it.
Only use "Share your graph". If you share the link from your browser's address field on top, it's possible that the URL will be cut since its a long address. Also, there is no guarantee that we will continue showing the full address in the future.
